2020 4S Brakes - Soft?
Hello friends. The wife decided to take the 2019 Panamera 4 boating on NW Hwy here in Dallas. Flooded...totaled. We are looking at a 2020 4S to replace it. On the test drive I found the brakes to have very little initial "bite". Bringing the car to a stop required more brake pressure and travel than I think is normal. Sounds like a brake bleed is required, maybe there is a bad brake line or something. Have any of you experienced this type of brake behavior? Also, and on to the real reason for my post, the owner of the used car place, (Premier Autos Dallas,) sent my wife the following text to explain the brake issue.
And I quote:
"...they are performance brakes, which means that they use air compression to stop the car, it will sound like a "woooooo" until the car gets warmed up."
So the Panamera uses air brakes. I'm dyin'.

If you aren't buying from a dealer, get a good PPI. You are likely correct that it needs to be bleed, or the brake fluid might need to be replaced. However, the fluid being old shouldn't cause this condition alone. This is required every two years regardless of mileage. A bad brake line would be leaking.
