Hey @Paul dB , did you get any photos of the manufacturing? I am hoping to get some when my build completes (ETA Aug 6).

PS- are you in a field of work related to electrical engineering or audio? (dB)

No pics, was not aware of how to see them. There are manufacturing pics, but only typical marketing stuff.

My hobby is sound recording. I am a telecom engineer, retired. Both use the dB unit.

Ah, cool! I previously worked in semiconductor, specifically RF for wireless comms

That’s too bad about the (lack of) photos. I have heard cars built at other facilities receive photos of their car being built.

I think Porsche only sends manufacturing photos of the 911s. Maybe 718s too but I don't recall seeing any posted online.

Interesting. My SA had said I’d get pictures. I guess we’ll see when my build completes if it’s any different.

My SA said the same. But I never got any for cars other than 911.

The only cars that get pictures currently are 911 and Taycan since those are the models produced at Zuffenhausen. 718 moved to Osnabruck.

Here's the GTS I have ordered. Likely make some changes before the 10/21 build lock, but am super excited about it.

Oh, nice! I love how the interior color schema matches the exterior. No Sport Chrono package option? Is it standard in GTS? I would assume so.

Have you done 2+1 in the backseat before? I was wary it was too cramped and opted for 2 seats in the back.

Thanks Chris. I really like the green and black on your build. I live in a high desert climate so want to stick to lighter color on the paint to mask some dust - I'm going back and forth between plain white, Ice Grey, and Dolomite.

I don't have experience with the 2+1 in a Panamera and figure it is useless for an adult, but I have 2yo and 4yo kids, and figure it may be useful in a pinch, also I prefer that it gives you 40/20/40 split folding seats as opposed to 60/40 in the 4-seater.

Yeah SC is included on the GTS, but unfortunately cannot be optioned with the compass instead of the clock.

Since this is a Waiting Room, here's the current projected timeline for mine:

@thigos That Ice Grey Metallic is pretty slick. If I wasn’t going for the color theme of my soccer team, I’d probably go with that! Have you seen the Chalk color? More pricey but along the same lines.

My PO was submitted back in ~April iirc. Original delivery date of July 26 has pushed to January 18 due to pending EPA certification. Granted, I was looking at the timing of previous year EPA certs, which suggest the cert may clear by Sep/Oct. Ironically I have roadtrip to the dessert planned Oct 2, so holding on to the little hope I have left it might ship sooner!

My build is supposed to complete Tue Aug 13 but we will see … I’ll update here if/when that happens.

I agree on the Ice Grey, its a really cool and subtle color. Chalk might be my favorite of the bunch and never looks dirty in the desert, but my gt3 is chalk and I'm not sure about having matching paint on the pair - so I figure, when in doubt better to save the money and go with something different.

Wow, I'm all for some delayed gratification, but a 6 month delay is brutal. I take it the delay is affecting all three of the hybrid models. Hang in there @Chris09 and keep the excitement alive! Unless I missed it, would you share the link to your build. I'm curious what options you chose.
