I know I've been posting but I never really said hi. I had a base 971 years ago but it was just too slow. Car prices were nuts back then too so I told myself I would be back when I could afford a 4S. This one popped up at Porsche North Houston and I put a deposit on it before it went thru CPO reconditing. It got some interior bits replaced, new tires, new brakes and hood struts. It has 50K miles, which was more than I wanted, but the mitigating factor was that they sold it brand new and the owner did all the services like clockwork. The only non maintenance repair I saw in the files was a windshield nozzle replacement and some recall campaign reprogramming. Not crazy optioned out, just the plus premium package which is all the essentials, surround view parking, 14 way seats, voice control, gloss black trim and painted air outlet grilles. I was really hoping for PSE or air suspension but I couldn't pass this up. Color is Volcano Gray and it has the standard black interior. I did buy the third year CPO, but I only drive my personal vehicle 5-6K miles a year so next year I will only need oil change, brake fluid, plugs and cabin air filter I believe. I plan to do it myself. Coming from an LT4 CTS-V, the slight turbo lag is kind of lame compared to the instant boost of a roots blower, but it still has plenty of power and gets twice the fuel economy of the Caddy. This is the only car I've ever drove that beats out GMs magnetic shocks. The base adaptive suspension works really well here. BMWs setting should be called firm, firmer and firmest. I prefer PCM for everything but navigation, so I plan to have that guy code my car for full screen Carplay here soon.
I had the dealer do ceramic tint, but they wanted too much for PPF. Still not sure if I will get that since I drive so little. I did do PPF on the door cups myself for 15 bucks on Amazon. Dealer wanted 600 bucks LMAO. Also, they tried to sell me Starguard GPS for 1300... they claimed it was hidden so well and would help if my car was stolen. My response was, if it gets stolen I don't want it back. When I disconnected my battery to hardwire my radar detector and dashcam, lo and behold I found a small box with blinking lights zip tied to the battery. It was the so well hidden Starguard module that I refused to pay for. What a joke. Anyways cheers!
Hopefully the engine air filter was changed at 40K miles. Thats more expensive than the labor on the 9Y0 Cayenne, since the bumper has to come off to get to it.
We have had our 2019 Base for 4 years and agree that the PASM suspension is great. Just at 13K miles, so the Cayenne get's most of the daily duty. Agree that Black Standard interior is beautiful, and besides Premium Plus, we got some 21 inch wheels that I think go well with the car's color. Also have a CD player in the glovebox and ionizer and cooled seats. The car is really great.

The air filter while buried in the car isn't terrible to get to. The bumper comes off quite easy. Its just a little time consuming. There wasn't anything difficult to do it, just make sure you have a friend to help you remove the bumper once its ready to come off since its quite large.
