When new Panamera GTS
Hi,
Does anyone have any info or have heard any rumour about when the new GTS with a V8 will be announced if it ever will?
Please do not refer me to the E-hybrid nonsense. I am a petrol-head and I despise even the idea of lugging a heavy battery around.
The Turbo S also is too powerful and has too much of a turbo lag for my liking.

i was also curious about this question but went ahead and pulled the trigger on a 2023 Turbo S in mid-November. Received a big discount. There are a couple still out there and you will likely get a huge discount. Regarding turbo lag, that isn’t my experience. Sport Plus has zero turbo lag, very minimal lag in sport and yes there is some in normal but not bad at all. It is certainly better than some of the other V8 twin turbos I have driven. To your too much power comment, is that a bad thing?
But, I understand the point.
Good point. It'll be interesting to see what Porsche does, especially since the Panamera is their least popular line of cars and all the emissions laws are forcing change.

I think the GTS is dead. The lack of announcement of an S/4S model at launch is more surprising than anything for the GTS.
If we look at the new Cayenne, the initial demand for the new V8 S trim is really high. I’d guess Porsche learned from that and will just release a V8 Panamera S/4S in the future and allow spec-ing to an effective GTS trim. Makes more sense from a marketing and profit standpoint.

I think you are 100% correct. I purchased a 23 GTS to replace my Taycan for that reason. Once they put the 4.0 Turbo in the Cayenne S, that sealed it. I cannot image a GTS unless it is a hybrid and given the plans for the Panamera to go full electric, I cannot imagine a new configuration. Porsche is setting us up for an electric Cayenne and Panamera if they keep the Panamera line. I cannot imagine how they will price an electric Panamera. The Taycan Turbo and Turbo S are $170K and above so I cannot imagine where an electric Panamera will be.
