Default Sanity check

I've been eyeballing a 2018 Turbo with just over 60k miles on it, to become my daily driver. How is this a stupid idea? I plan to check to make sure all maintenance has been done on time, and likely buy a warranty on it. I can afford the maintenance, but just don't want to deal with the hassle of having a car that is in the shop all the time. Anything I should else I should be thinking about/considering?

I just picked up a 2018 St Turbo with 54K on it. The car had all Porsche maintenance on the carfax up until 40K including the major 40K service. The car has a few cosmetic issues that i will address. The car drove fantastic the 400 mile trip home. I would check everything mechanically and make sure it works. Also if you have the ability, check for faults in the drivetrain modules.
The biggest thing I have found with this car is the battery. If the battery can't hold a good charge it will make the car do weird things and systems wonk work right.

Just check the car out as much as you can and if your ok with the price on it as compared to the next one then go for it. Thats what I did for mine. I didn't need it to be a mint car as we are going to keep it for a long time, it was over 10K cheaper than the next closest one and i could take the money and easily fix the issue for much less.

It's not a Pagani or a numbers matching 1-of-1 split window Vette, it's a mass produced VAG product that's only a few years old. Approach the same as you would any used car purchase.

Mandatory: Get a PPI by a reputable dealer or indy shop.
Recommended: Do a thorough inspection and test drive yourself
If you want: get an aftermarket extended warranty
