2010 4S. My first Porsche, but not my first German car by a long shot. It won out over an S63 AMG that was about the same price. Seems solid, engine sounds good, transmissionj shifts well, but of course it has some issues here and there. So, a handfull of questions.
Oh, since I have no service history since 60k miles, it's (hopefully) going to the local indy dealer and get serviced. At least what I can't do, given that you need a computer to do the PDK and a lift is very helpfull. I'll handle brake flush, radiator was replaced recently so I'm going to assume coolant is fresh, belts look good, battery is reasonablly new. Hopefully I don't have to tag the dealer to do the service on the tranny, but if that's what it takes, so be it. At least they have a nice waiting room.
Over bumps, it clunks. All four corners. Nothing I see loose, and I haven't had the car in the air yet to look at bushings/etc. Any random thoughts on this one?
Is there an actual service manual out there for it? I know that owners generally don't wrench on their cars, but the factory guys have to use something...
Adaptive cruise control.. I can't turn it on. Owner's manual says press switch to turn on, but that's apparently not working. Is there another condition I'm missing? Or bad switch? The multifunction display just says "ACC Off" and if I work the lever, I get "ACC unavailable" mesage and no cruise control.
Speaking of switches the driver's aircon fan switch will only move up. Looks like that's a fairly straightfoward, if involved, job.
Looks well preserved! The clunking on the front could be sway bar bushings or upper control arm bushings. Unfortunately there is no easy way to inspect the control arm bushings that I’m aware of, but they are commonly replaced. If the car wanders a bit on the highway that is potential sign of bushing failure.
Does the have the air suspension?
There is a factory service manual (FSM) available and I’ve used it but don’t recall the source. Check the stickies.

No on the air suspension. Going to try and pick up the corners and pull the wheels if the rain holds off this afternoon. It does feel a little less than firmly planted in turns, so that may be an issue.
