Default Rear Differential

My 2010 Panamera 4S appears to need the rear differential changed. The car only has 88500 miles,. Any thoughts on causes or past history with this model?

Happened to me at about 65k on my 2010 turbo. Thought it was a wheel bearing but it ended up being the pinion bearing (i think). I was lucky to find a rebuilt diff. In USA from Porsche that happened to be on the shelf at a dealer in PA (I’m in Cleveland) came with a 1 year 10k mile warranty. I think i paid ~3k installed at my Indy shop.
