Default Trunk not automatically closing

I have a 2010 Panamera 970 and my rear hatch does not automatically close on its own when I press the button. However, when I hold down the close button the rear trunk will close. Any ideas what could be the problem?

How long do you define a "press" and a "hold"?

For opening (and maybe for closing, but I'm not sure), there is a configurable (in PIWIS) time to define a press and shorter "taps" are rejected as mistakes.

It only closes automatically while I am pressing the button. As soon as I let go the trunk will stop closing automatically. So technically I can never fully close it automatically because my hand would get caught. I really hope it is just a calibration issue.

On my Gen 2 Panamera my son started the rear hatch to close and then interrupted the close by holding the hatch to add something else. That reset the close limit, and it would only close by holding the button. In the owner's manual, it explains how to reset it which is straightforward. I hope the Gen 1 is the same.

This is the way my driver's door switch for the trunk operates and I'm not sure that's normal. The key fob and the button on the trunk open/close it with one touch, but I have to hold the switch on the drivers door.

Dang it, my key fob and door button both don't close the hatch in any manner at all. The only way I can close mine is with the hatch button.

I've tried several codings with PIWIS so far and still no luck.

My 2011 will only close via the button on the rear hatch. Key fob and door buttons only open. I can press and hold for 60 sec and those 2 buttons don’t activate a close.

as with mine '12. I have also noticed that when the closing operation gets interrupted the hatch button will behave like that, and you have to close it manually, but it always seems to reset itself once you start/stop the car.
