Opinions on 20 inch 3rd Party Wheels for 971
I'm considering buying a set of 20" wheels from HRE or Forgeline to replace my boring 20" OEM Style wheels on my 2022 Cherry Metallic Panamera 4S. My car is all base 4S with sport package outside except a rear wiper (so chrome window surround). I am tinting it dark all around this week with Xpel Photosync.
Wheels considered are:
1. HRE HRE 527 FMR 2-piece forged
2. Forgeline FU3C 3-piece forged
I plan to have them custom ordered to match OEM sizes (20" x 9.5" front and 20" x 11.5" rear).
I was very bored with the OEM 20" wheels and don't want to go 21" for a variety of reasons. I wish Porsche had a better 20" selection. I feel some of the 970 wheels were much more attractive (just not the right fit).
Has anyone mounted either on their 971 Panamera? Can you share pictures?
I'm a bit unsure on color combos. I am leaning to the Foregeline's in the style of the 911 50th Anniversary - modern Fuchs look. But maybe gold or all black center with polished lip is best?
I'm also unsure on center caps - color or no?
Anyone have experience with HRE or Forgeline TPMS problems?
Thanks for any consideration!
I'm 1800 miles into break in period and will post a review once fully broken in.

I do not have any experience with either HRE or Forgeline wheels but I would also like to propose another alternative to your wheel question. Have you thought about powder coating your current wheels? I ordered my Panamera with the 21" Sport Design, Jet Black wheels. After a bad blow out upon hitting a pothole, I realized that a 20" wheel set would be better for me/car, so I ordered a set of 20" Sport Design, Satin winter wheels from Porsche and just had them powder coated to match the 21" wheels. Now I'm able to drive with the safety of a taller sidewall but with 20" wheels that match the look of my 21" wheels. Either way, I wish you good luck with your wheel search.

HRE or Forgeline TPMS should not be an issue. There are several online sites that sell the sensors. I used www.tpms.com for OEM sensors for both my 971 and 991.1. Within several miles after the install I had correct pressure readings. The tire shop didn't do anything other than install the tire stems/sensors in the wheel.

Above are shots of current wheels (20 inch Style wheels). Not sure if changing color would help. I should have gone with Turbo or GTS style. Also the center crest is not able to be changed per dealer.
what color would you powder coat them?
21 inch look the best, but I have not had great experience with ride quality of larger optioned
wheels on street 911’s.
below are Forgeline’s under consideration. Project would cost $7-9k.

I powder coated my wheels for $1000 here in Northern Virginia. It was a bit higher than other places in the country but I am still very pleased with the result because they match my 21” sport design wheels.
The 20” wheels barely fit around the huge PCCB calipers which was a huge worry of mine.
With your wheels, maybe body color accents within the wheel or something along those lines?
