Default First Porsche!

About 8 months ago, I began a journey of ordering my FIRST Porsche… a custom 2022 Panamera 4S E-Hybrid. I owe a huge THANK YOU to the good folks here on Rennlist who helped me choose my options and provided invaluable feedback about everything Porsche. Specific thanks to: @Propofoln, @Panaseeya, @FC356, @trinerd, @stealthpilot, @Stephen Shi, @krabman, @small car lover, @Franz993, @AcousTech

I finally got it a couple weeks ago and put some finishing touches on it. It is hands down the best car I’ve ever had. There is simply nothing like this car and I’m convinced it is the most versatile car ever... Super car performance, family friendly, ultra luxury interior, superb quality, beautiful exterior, and handles like a true sports car (and in my case with the 4S E-Hybrid, it’s an EV when I want it to be and an ICE with no turbo lag at other times)! As a new Porsche owner, I now know what all the hype is about and can say this won’t be my last Porsche.

Thanks! It wasn’t intended to be but it’s felt that way

Thank you! In all seriousness, I was pretty clueless about some of these Porsche options and you guys really helped me out months ago with choosing the options.

Guilty as charged. My only photos of the car with the bow on it were a couple I snapped with my wife by the car. I thought we’d have time to get more pics after payment and paperwork but while we were doing that I noticed they moved the car… oh well. But yea, not trying to show off my wife on the public inter webs!

Congrats! That's a sharp looking car, chalk over bordeaux is such a nice combo. And I'm super jealous, I've always wanted a car with a giant bow...

You definitely encouraged me to go with the chalk so thank you! Pictures really don’t do it justice and don’t capture how it changes with different lighting. It’s a very intriguing color. I’ve always been a dark (mostly black) exterior and interior guy so the chalk/Bordeaux was outside my comfort level but with the nudging of my wife and you guys, I took the leap and really glad that I did!

SS22, it's a super nice car. I had to register for an account to make this comment haha. I just placed an order for a (also first Porsche) GTS ST also with chalk and those are really good pictures of the color (my phone somehow makes it look way too white). Being both a GTS and an ST the price shoots up to $160k, but aside from that I think my (soon to be) car will look very similar to yours! Congrats and hope you like it.

@SS22 - Had my e-Hybrid in Chalk(over Chalk/Black interior) for about a year now. Never get tired of walking up to it. Always makes me smile. May you enjoy it for a long time!

Default Thrilled for you

Congratulations; As per our prior thread pending delivery, your color selection is identical to mine, although mine is a Sport Toursimo. I took delivery on 12/17 and am also thrilled with it. The fuel efficiency is spectacular; A recent trip to dinner (around 45mi round trip) displayed 102mpg!! This Panamera is my first new Porsche, however I have three others in the stable: 1969 912, 2003 Boxster S, 2018 Macan S (wife's retirement gift to herself).

Congrats on your first Porsche too! You will absolutely love this color combo. The first time I saw a chalk Panamera in person, I thought WHAT IS THAT, and knew I had to get that color! Pictures honestly don’t do it justice. Here’s a pic that shows you the color both in shade and the sun (it’s constantly changing slightly with different lighting) and I got ceramic coating so it looks amazing. Anyways, I’m glad I inspired you to make an account and hope you’ll be an active member here (check out the Panamera Waiting Room thread too).

Our cars look very similar on the exterior. I can’t blame you, I have the same reaction and have a feeling it won’t go away anytime soon. Thank you and hope you continue to enjoy yours!

Yes, yours looks great! Are you planning to tint yours? I love how it turned out on mine and would recommend it. No kidding about the fuel efficiency, I got mine on 12/11 and have yet to go to the gas station (and I don’t miss it). It’s still just over half full on the tank!

@SS22 the charcoal LaminX turned out perfect. Looks great. I am going to try red on mine first since the car is red. Assuming it ever comes...
