2011 Panamera trunk not open
Hello.
I am looking for your help with the problem of the trunk lid, not opening. The car is a 2011 panamera 4 base model, it is running well with no issue, the battery is good. I checked the fuses related to the trunk and they are all good.
The problem is the trunk lid not opening either with a remote or push button. I can hear the latch motor is running a bit trying to work but the latch won't open. I crawled in the trunk and pull the hidden latch release cable and was able to open the trunk.
Anyone who have seen this issue before or knows how to diagnose further, please give me some input on resolving this issue.
Thank you

- I removed the latch assembly from the trunk and put it on a bench to test when applying 12V onto the latch motor, it open the latch, reversed polarity and it closed the latch. So it appeared the latch assembly and motor are working fine.
- When trunk is closed and locked, I push on the manual open button on the trunk and hear one beep.

Wondering if you’ve made progress on this? My 2012 Panamera is having liftgate issues, as well.
My latch/lock are working fine, but the trunk is not automatically lifting or closing. It pops open fine via all 3 ways. Locks fine once pushed to closing position. Brand new battery and electric strut motors.
Thanks!
