PLEASE HELP! Metal Sliding Noise / Squeak
I am a new member here and have created an account just to discuss my difficulties, potentially get some reliable feedback from fellow Porsche owners and find out if anyone else has had a similar issue and solved it.
I own a 2012 Porsche Panamera 907 (base model 3.6L) with 130k miles on the clock. I take extremely good care of the vehicle and have done for a long time. About two months ago a metal sliding sound from the passenger right back side (or at least appears to be coming from there) had appeared and not gone away. Typically occurs when taking sharper turns between 30 - 40 mph and braking / slowing down from similar to higher speeds.
I had taken the vehicle to the dealership for a routine service and pointed out the issue. I was told that I needed to replace the front upper arm assembly and real level sensor. This was done on 13th June 2021. Upon receiving the vehicle back, the sound persisted.
I had sent the car back, the dealership had informed me that they needed to lube up all the joints etc. Upon receiving the car, the sound was still there. I had take the car back again, they have then brought in a specialist to look into and identified that the sound supposedly came from the Cardan (Drive) Shaft and the center bearing. Had this replaced 28th July 2021. As soon as I had pulled the vehicle out of the garage the noise remained. I have taken the vehicle back to the dealership once again (5th time). Having spent close to $4,000 and not being able to rid of the problem as well as it being almost three months is now causing a lot of frustration.
I have attached videos of the issue below, please listen carefully.
Your feedback will be highly valued and appreciated! Hope someone could help! Thank you!
It seems to me that the issue occurs during a shift in load (breaking = shift in load, turning = shift in load). I was also advised it could be a 'wheel skip' and also someone else has informed me it could be due to the mechanism in the spoiler.
