Default 970 GTS PDK 1st gear weird blips - is this normal?

When I'm in Sport Plus at low speeds either coming to a stop or slowly driving off, the PDK sounds like it (excessively hard?) blips the throttle in Neutral in an odd fashion for a second or two and it sounds very odd.
This only happens in 1st gear though, and maybe once or twice per day. Never had this in Normal or Sport as those never use 1st gear.
When I got the car PPI'd before purchase there were no PDK codes. I tried doing a PDK reset with the 3/3/1 minutes procedure but it doesn't seem to have changed anything.

Anyone else experienced such a thing in 1st gear? Normal?

The PDK gear mapping on my 970 P4 (NA 3.6L) never uses first and I mean never.

Mine does aggressive blips and always downshifts to first gear in sport plus mode. The other modes start in second gear. I normally don’t use sport plus in stop and go driving because it can get annoying and lacks smoothness. Works well when maneuvering in traffic that is moving at a decent speed.

Mine only takes 1st if I am starting on a hill. Even in sport
