Default Hardwire Radar and Camera

Has anyone hardwired an accessory on their 971? If so, any suggestions before I go diving in?

I installed the Escort iX Ci Laser shifter/Radar Detector in mine. It was a feat, to be sure. What are you wanting to know?

i have remote mounting kit with the external mute button. I need a power source (preferably accessory power) and a ground. I tool a road trip last weekend and wired it from the battery in the rear and ran power to the front, but after a few hours I blew the inline fuse.

The panamera is so buttoned up Ive yet to find an easy place to get power in the driver foot well or a hole in the firewall to run off the fuse box.

Where did you get power from @regancc

In the passenger well there is a panel on top. Remove it. You can either access the fuses on the side kick panel or what I did was access the fuse panels on the passenger side of the engine compartment because I had to run a bunch of other wires from the front end into the inside of the cabin. I went in through the cabin air filter. I have a 2019 e Hybrid so not sure if you have the same filter or not. I am remiss in that I took no installation pics...sorry!
