Default Key fob

I never knew that if you hold the lock button down, your mirrors fold in .

In the PCM, you can also choose to have the mirrors fold in when the car is locked as well if you're able to lock the car without the key fob. I personally like having the mirrors folded in when the car is locked because I then know the car is locked by just looking at it and not having to re-lock" the car. In past vehicles I have inadvertently unlocked the car and did not know the car was unlocked or just didn't lock the car after closing the door. By having the mirrors folded in, I now know the car is locked and I can focus on other things.

I think this is unique to the 971. This is not an option available in the instrument cluster on the 970. I’ve even tried custom coding this using my PIWIS but can’t seem to do. If anyone has figured out how to get auto mirror fold on lock on the 970 (i.e. without having to hold the lock button on the remote or on the door handle) please share.

I have a 970. Do the newer ones lock automatically when you walk away from the car with the fob?
