Default removing pedal plug nightmare

so installing the pedal commander is supposed to be easy, but I was trying to pull out plug without unscrewing pedal plate and the gray push pin tab broke off. I unscrewed plate after that and was trying to free plug with broken gray pin and couldnt get loose. Even tried with a screwdriver. Then the gray piece fell into the carpet below pedal and I can't get it out. Now I can't remove the damn plug from the pedal. Why does Porsche make it so hard to remove a plug? Anyone get that plug out without the gray tab you push down??

That is why I had my dealers do all 3 of mine, I hate messing with things like that.

Got my girlfriend who has small hands get the gray broken clip out from underneath carpet. After 30 min of trying this am FINALLY got the plug loose. Plugged the pedal commander in and works great. What’s the setting everyone uses? Love how you can change it via Bluetooth and the app

I just did a write of this not long ago... To save others a little time that tab is not designed to be released by hand as it's expected to be a lifetime part; a secure connection trumped ease of removal. To get it apart with something you have laying about use a pair of pliers going from the grey tab to the bottom of the socket as your squeeze points and it will easily pop lose. It's not easy to explain in writing but once you have one side of the pliers where it would be levering the gray tab down you'll see where you need to put the other side. In order to get the angle with the pliers you first need to remove the one screw holding the pedal assembly down and pop it lose so you can get the pliers in the position you need to release the tab. I run mine in city 1, I find anything higher too abrupt for day to day use. At that setting it acts like I expect a throttle to act; reactive but not like a light switch. It's obviously going to be a personal preference thing. I started higher because it was fun to have the car move out like a scalded cat at first but as the novelty wore off I kept on backing it down to get a more linear response and finally ended up with the city 1 setting.
