Default Driver’s mirror problem

My drivers side mirror when coming off of the parked position rotates 180 degrees and points down. I’ve tried the position switch to no avail. Any suggestions?

It may take a few tries, but you can pull the mirror upward and twist it manually to the correct position. Then fold it in electrically and back out. It could take several repetitions of this to get it right. I've fixed my passenger mirror that way a couple times.

I put the mirror fully folded in and then stopped it in the correct position when opening. The dealer says there is a stop that keeps it from going all the way down. I think I simulated the stop with my hand similar to what you did. It's staying in the right position now. I'm not screwing with it any more
Thanks for the tip!
Cheers,
Dave

Default Final Fix

Here's the solution that worked for me.

1. Lock the car and hold the lock button to move the mirrors into the up position
2. Hold the mirror housing firmly and rotate until it goes into a strong detent (it will be obvious)
3. Start the car and the mirror will rotate to the correct position.
NOTE: if it does not go to the correct position repeat steps 1 & 2. Mine went past the correct position but, not as far down as before. the 2nd attempt was successful.

Cheers!
