Default Map update?

My 2018 panamera's maps are way out of date. How do i get these updated?
Porsche service has no idea, they tell me the map is what comes with the car and that's it. what? Makes no sense.

As you explore options, you may want to consider the Joyeauto system to integrate your smartphone's maps. I use an iPhone and the ability to get directions via voice commands and a current map on Car Play are far superior to the stock navigation system IMO. Best of luck!

Map updates are bundled with your Porsche Connect services. I don't have my car here to reference, so this is from memory and may not be exactly correct. Go into the PCM menu for Car and I think its settings>software>update and it will display the updates available. It only allows you to update three map selections every six months so be careful with which ones you select.
