Default 2010 PTT - Euro Tail Light sourcing

The outer plastic has cracked badly on both tail lights on my UK 2010 PTT

I'm horrified at the replacement costs from Porsche/usual sources. Any tips on sourcing some cheaper? Plenty of ads on Ebay from Latvian source, seems half price, quoted as OEM...... anyone bought from there and can verify or other ideas?

Part numbers are everything you need to know. Find part number for your particular part using a dealer's website. Then Google the part number and see what you get. Usually there will be a dealer site reference and eBay reference. Search eBay using just the part number. Buy from an established seller with good review. It's EZ/PZ.

Can you polish the cracks out? It might just be UV damage. Worth a try. There are several different types of unit and they might not play well together if you replace them. I’ll try to find a thread on it.

Thanks Stringbag - though both units have 6 inch long cracks right through the plastic, the left hand side unit even has a 2mm gap in some places...... I assume I'll be seeing water pooling in there soon.

On ebay I've found units at under half price Porsche are charging here in UK:

Done some checking and seems legit, looks like ULO are/were OEM - what do you think?
