Default PCM / Phone module problem

Hi all,

I bought a 2010 Panny 4 a few of months ago. Love it to bits ! though it has some quirks and here's one i can quite figure out.

The car war purchased with the telephone option, i have the cordless handset in the middle compartment and after removing the PCM i can see the telephone module is physically present. When i have no SIM card plugged in, i can activate the phone function and read the module's own IMEI number. But once i put a SIM card in, it just tries to activate forever without success. Also the cordless handset never activates and gives a message in German saying that it is not connected to the car.

I did update the PCM to the latest version 2.47 and changed the hard drive, but nothing changes. And i am afraid that asking a dealership to look at this will cost a fortune. I'd like to be able to use it though if i could.

Any ideas what is going on here ?

Thanks for any help !
