Default map updates 971

Hi,
Just got a 2017 Panamera... it looks like the system came with 2016/2017 maps.. do you have to have Navigation & Infotainment Services to be able to update the maps?

Thanks!

You need activate your car in the MyPorsche website. If you bought your car from a Porsche dealer, online services are included for an initial term. One of those services is "Online Map Update". After you add your car to your MyPorsche account, it will give you a pin to enter into the car's PCM. Once that's activated you should be able to download three regional map updates. Porsche's definition of a region is small; one or two states. Once you download three, the system won't allow you to download any more. Supposedly you can get additional regional updates from a Porsche dealer, but my dealer was not aware of the process.

Thanks for the reply.

Before knowing about the activation I connected the car to my wifi hotspot and when I went into map updates it showed Online updates/sd1/2/usb but it was all greyed out

but not after connecting to MyPorsche account and entering the PIN to PCM the Online Update option is gone and now only shows SD1/2/usb and they are all greyed and no option for Online Update

Login to your MyPorsche account on the web and view the services you have. You might not have a current subscription. You can go to the Connect Store from the MyPorsche site and subscribe. If you bought your car from a Porsche dealer, I would check with them first. I think they normally provide your first year subscription.

Default Foxwell NT 530 and DPF regeneration.

Does anyone have any hints/luck using the tool to reset DPF regeneration required on a 2105 Diesel?

I run through to the point of depressing brake and accelerator and then move forward on the scanner but nothing happens. I get an error code when I release the accelerator (after waiting several minutes).

no DME codes beside P246300bank 1 spot to high and p200200 particulate Filter bank 1 - efficiency implausible.

ideas?
