Anyone that is using the pro clip with built in cable have issues with waze or google maps? Every time I plug the phone in to the mount it connects to car play no problem. I can use music or any other apps no issue but if I run waze it is if it can’t locate the gps on the phone and just keeps re routing. If I unplug the phone and run waze it works just fine. Dealer suggested to use an Apple cable. Anyone else have issues with this?

I had numerous issues when I was using a "knock off" apple lightening cable. As soon as I started using a "genuine" Apple cable the problems ceased. I do now use the genuine Apple Cable with the Pro Clip mount and everything works perfectly. I run Waze on the car's main screen and Amazon Music on the iphone itself. I also have V1 Driver running on the phone in the background which is an App I use with my Valentine Gen 2 detector and it also works perfectly. Get the "genuine" apple cable.

I am using the built in cable that came with my Pro-Clip mount and do not have issues with waze or google maps. Could be a phone glitch, maybe try a hard reset? curious problem for sure. If the OEM cable solves the problem that would be very interesting. I hope you find a solution.

If I had any issues I would not hesitate to swap it out with the OEM cable. CarPlay can be finicky

I've decided to go with the ProClip. Any trick to running the USB cable?

I'm not sure which phone you are using?? Anyway, I have the iPhone 7 Plus and I bought the dash clip combined with the padded mount for the phone without a case and it has a built in attachment for the apple lightening cable to clip into. In the past I have had bad luck with CarPlay using anything other than real Apple cables. The Pro Clip dash mount works perfectly for me as it is just inside my view when looking down the road. I simple run the cable along the driver side of the console and it stays out of the way.

I have an iPhone XR and bought the console mount with adjustable charging holder. I did not know how to run the USB to connect in the armrest. Does it fit through the bottom or do the cupholders have to come out?

I run mine right under the front of the console "lid". There is a little section that is sort of cutout but you can run it anywhere and the console will close okay.
