I bought a beautiful 2010 Panamera 4S that has 25,000 miles only. It has a clear bra on the front bumper and half the hood. It also has clear vinyl cover on the back bumper. I am a purist conservative and think I should remove it to show the true luster of the Blue Metallic paint the car is. Would you Panny owners leave it or remove it?
That is odd or rare to have clear vinyl on the rear bumper. Is the lower portion of the bumper painted or unpainted black plastic? My Dark Blue Metallic at 70K+ miles has some road rash on the lower portion of the bumper (primarily on the black plastic) and a little on the lip of the fender well, behind each rear wheel. This included driving down some gravel roads. The rest of the rear bumper has weathered pretty well.
The back end of the Panny gets beat up pretty good from road dust and debris kicking around. Maybe the previous owner drove on some short gravel runs to get to their house. The back is what gets dirty and dusty first, and ends up needing to get washing more. More washing = more wear.
I cant see it in the picture but if it bothers you I'd say get rid of it. On the other hand if it's more of a huh than a sore tooth, I'd leave it there as Paul stated.
