Default Changing temperature default?

Hi All:

I just got out of an AMG E63s wagon and into a Panamera 4S. I loved the nuclear bomb under the hood of the AMG but overall the build quality of the car was horrendous; the Panamera is much, much better built.

I've figured out a lot of the controls but one thing that bugs me (and yes I read the manual but no answer was revealed) is that the cabin temperature defaults to 72*F. No matter the previous setting, at start up the car's always at 72*F! Does anyone know how to change that setting so it defaults to whatever the last temp setting was? I've scrolled through all the climate menus but I have not discovered a way to accomplish this.

Thank you!

Check the memory setting buttons next to the door handle. Push the set button and after the beep, push one of the 3 buttons below. That will set your mirror, seat, steering wheel, and pertaining to this post, your temperature and fan default on start up.

Anytime you change a setting you need to save it to the key so it defaults to the keys settings when you unlock. Same deal as described above, hit the set button and then the key. button I do my memory slot and key every time. Same thing applies to your setting on the diamond button and all other similar settings, you need to save it to the key in order to have it active by default. Essentially everything you do in the car that involves changing a setting of that type needs to include hitting the set and key/preset button or it's lost. The key that unlocks the door is the active key, if applicable make sure your settings are not getting saved on the wrong key.

Good deal! Now we can talk about what kind of beer you're brewing! I'm hopeful it's something like a delicious barley-wine. Really anything but an IPA, so overdone nowadays.

Haha! Yes, in to beer for a moment, lol. I haven’t brewed beer professionally since 2000; I enjoy hobby brewing much more than I ever did on the professional side. IPA, what’s an IPA? Full agreement with you there. I enjoy things on the “funky” side and like to experiment with yeasts and malt bills that produce depth, complexity and interest. Depth, complexity and interest - kind of like a Panamera!

Thanks gents,
