My 2010 Panamera S started doing weird things last year - such as depleting its battery -
bought a new battery which it depleted with 2 days - measured battery draw at 8 Amperes
when parked. Towed it to dealer and instructed them to reenter the Program into its memory.
That fixed the problem at minimal expense. Remember, all our cars are run by complex
computers and software, which can become infected by electrical gremlins. As with many
computers, re-initializing, reloading and rebooting can often chase the gremlins away.
Batteries can cause a lot of issues, and not just in a Porsche. My Jeep SRT had all kinds of issues, codes thrown from engine to some fault on the AWD system. Turns out, one of the battery terminals was corroded and a little loose. Cleaning the terminals, and tightening them up, solved all the issues. Its weird, but like other have said, cars are run by computers and sometimes need a reboot.
I do know that some people have had some issues with the AWD, transmission, and active handling systems in the Panamera that turned out to be just bad sensors, but it took a knowledgeable tech to know what to look for rather than just replacing a bunch of expensive things. If you're having odd gremlin like issues, I'd make sure someone with familiarity with the car look at it, not just a Porsche dealer.
Did you resolve the issue with your car? Im having some similar problems with my 970 turbo
Best regards Martin
Yes i did friend, but had other problems sence i wrote this lol. Now my car has been in porsche workshop for 6 months waiting on some ridicolous pipe thing between engine and cooling system.
Regarding those old problems was fixed with a 2000 service.
