Winter care

Winter care
For those who live where it snows, and where roads get treated with who-knows-what chemicals and salt, what special cleaning or care are you giving your Panamera in winter months? My 2016 4S is my daily driver, and I bought it at the tail end of winter here in the Northeast, so I didn't need to think much about this yet.
Any tips for keeping things running well and helping to forestall or delay corrosion during winter months?
I've lived where it's snowed nearly my whole life, but I've not really cared as much about this until I recently started a 100 mile (round trip) daily commute, which also nearly coincided with the car purchase. I wasn't so concerned about this with my GTI.

I just make a point to wash it weekly no matter, and do my best to spray the underside of everything. Some days the temps are in the upper 40's or low 50's and it's a bit challenging, but I do it anyway. It really doesn't take too long if you can stay on top of it. These cars are very solid so just take care of them and they'll treat you well.

Thanks; as you noted, it's getting the underside that can be challenging. Running a hose on the brutally cold days is a no-go.
I might invest in some waterless cleaning products as well to get some quick but effective garage cleaning done.
How long have you had your Panamera in CO?

The reality is, cars don't melt like they used to. I drive year round and have never had any issues with this or previous cars. I trying to wash them weekly to every other week depending on how cold it gets. Like others have said, spray off the underbody. I worry more about the chunks of snow and ice people are kicking down the street!

Might not be the most practical thing for the rest of us!
I think what Paul said is likely true - modern vehicles, with even moderate care, aren't prone to dissolving like cars from a generation ago.
One question specific to the Porsche - are there any issues with PASM that are more prevalent in cold climates?

The underbody tray does a great job of protecting the underside of the car IMO. My goal is always to remove the layers of sand, grime and magnesium chloride and fortunately I've been able to find a day during the week w/ temps above 45 deg - even w/ the record winter we've just had (my 2nd full winter w/ the car). I also am fortunate w/ a heated garage so it can thoroughly dry and I live in a semi-arid climate. Having grown up in the northeast I know the constant freeze/thaw cycles and abundance of salt. Not sure of your use case, but my car is up in the mountains every weekend getting hammered - I'm sure even every other week will help a great deal for a DD if you can find a setup that works and get it done quickly each time.
