As a 981 boxster owner, I am looking to get into my second porsche. Currently there is a 2012 cpo panamera 4 which I am interested in. The car has 58k miles and except of a reported accident, seem to be in a good condition. The only thing what bothers me is that the maintenance history is pretty short. I know with CPO the risks are pretty low, at least for the next 2 years but still wanted to see what your experiences are with this model if anyone would go for this model year for a used panamera. Also would appreciate if you could report about common issues and if you see any risks to buy a cpo from this year.

Check to see if that model had excessive oil consumption due to scoring cylinder walls in the Nicosil (sp?) coating. Porsche claims 1 qt every 600 miles is considered acceptable, but my turbo burns a quart every 3-5k miles. A friend of mine has a 4S w/ this issue. Other than that, not aware of any specific problems.
