I would never imagine a car in this condition is totaled. It has my favorite wheel, the 21'' sports design as well. But I'm jealous that you made out like a bandit. So if you are leasing a vehicle and it's totaled, the insurance company will reimburse you rather than the dealer? I would've thought that they would pay the dealer since they technically own the car.
Could you elaborate a little on the driving experience of the 4s? How does it compare to the E-hybrid? I had no idea that the E-hybrid is eligible for federal credit. Is it reflected from the sales price or it will be deducted when you actually purchase the car?
I'm a little sad as I would probably never have my own pdk. Fiancee won't sell or trade in hers ever and she thinks 911 is too ugly.
Thanks.

Burning Brakes
Check out my post on diminished value claim. I had 12K in damages to my 997.2 4S Cab. I settled a diminished value claim with the insurance company and settled for 5500 after they paid for the entire repair. Lot of work......patience and persistence including a threat to the insurance company that I was going to sue their insured for 10K. That got them rethinking the go away attitude. Good Luck.

Quick update:
After much struggle and several complaints, I settled with insurance company for $5,200. Given it's PA, where DoV isn't paid that easily, I am happy with it. Plus, my wife and I don't plan to ever sell the car. Am gonna relax now. Thanks for all the help guys.

What you said stood the test. Politeness and patience finally got me an acceptable settlement. My wife won't sell the car anyway but it's good to have some compensation. Strangely the accident hasn't hit Carfax yet.
