Hi,

Today I tried to update nav maps by using the wifi connection to my home network, which has 10MB/s internet download speed. This was advised by my Porsche dealer to increase download speed and to not gobble up my mobile quota.

However, the download speed is still terrible. WiFi signal strength is full, yet downloading still goes at only approx 200kB. Downloading 900MB of maps will take hours and downloading apparently stops when you turn off ignition. Totally impractical to leave your car with ignition on without being able to lock it.
With the SIM card this was even 10 times slower.

Do any of you experience the same or maybe have a solution or explanation?
BTW this is a G2 panny.

I noticed that the speed drops if you close the doors, when connected to a wifi outside the car, in this case my home network.

Try using your mobile LTE hotspot if your okay with using your phone's data

thanks. I tried that but is even slower.
And again, downloading stops when ignition is off. It will take weeks this way.
