Last year I ordered a Panamera Turbo S E-hybrid Sport Turismo and when I received the build confirmation I noticed it was a MY18 car delivering in Jan 2019. I was not happy and my SA could only explain it as the 2019s were not yet being allocated. I cancelled the order.
Turns out the SA ordered the car with my build, along with a 2019 to the same build spec, knowing I would buy one of them. I hate being predictable Last week I was at the dealership with my 911 and the SA told me the 2018 car had just been offloaded from a truck. This car is for my wife so I mentioned it to her and she said she was fine with the 2018 but neither one of us were okay paying MSRP for a model year old car. There are a lot of these cars for sale in the US right now but this one is the exact build I wanted (including the yellow calipers instead of the acid green) so getting a deep discount wasn’t important. I ended up getting a little over 12% off and was happy.
The car is awesome, well it was for the 20 miles I drove it before the engine light came on and the dealer came to pick it up. I’m driving a Cayenne they gave me and it is suprisingly nice. If you like this car there will be an identical twin delivering as a 2019 in May that could be yours.

Not for the Turbo S...;-) These lucky people get the PCCB as standard equipment; the yellow paint option is 0$.
