Default 2 cars to pick

I have my deal down to 2 cars. Both hybrid models..

Car 1. White with agate grey interior. Sticker is $128k can be had for $108k. It has 350 miles on it and is being sold as new.Porsche exec drove it.

Car 2 is Volcano grey black interior Sticker is $118k can be had for $105k. Car is brand new.

Car 1 has these extra options. Ambient light, 4 way climate control, surround camera and parking, insulated glass, power rear sunblinds, 7.2 charger,, dynamic lighting plus, acid green calipers, power rear seats, ventilated rear seats

Car 2 has innodrive, black calipers.

I like volcano gray better, but like agate interior better, and the extra options are nice, especially insulated glass and the green calipers.

What would u pick?

Car One since you like the interior more than Car Two and it's a way better value. Make sure you get the $6670 tax credit.

Car one can be wrapped if you really feel it needs it after owning it for a while but car two can’t have all those options and interior added

True, the stuff in the back I really don't care about as I don't sit back there and rarely have passengers in the back. I do like the insulated glass and ambient lighting though. First world problems. Comes down to exterior color or if I can get them down on the gray one. Think I like gray color better Anyone have those 2 options the glass and ambient lighting. Had the ambient lighting on my I8, and i didnt change it often, I did like how it looked on the inside.

Car one. The surround camera and parking assist. Must have for me to somewhat preserve the 21" wheels.

Car 1 has some options I simply couldn't live without....I'm assume its still being sold as new, just has some executive miles? If its technically not new you wouldn't get the rebate I'm assuming.

Car 1 is a no brainer. It's a much better value and will be a much nicer driving experience with the listed options. It sounds like a excellent deal. I wouldn't hesitate to long on that offer or it will be gone.

Car 1 all the way.

Just mind you - why do you keep opening new threads? First the comparison with Acura and S-class and then the thread generally in e-hybrids.

I am not saying you should use the e-hybrid thread (which in my opinion is a chaos because everything is discussed in the thread) but why not stick to one thread. It is easier specially for people who gave you feedback and to others to see what you related stuff you have posted.

Just my 2 cents...

Chalk

White

Black
Thanks for the input. I will stay on this thread. So went to another Porsche dealer and they were super nice. They had a bunch of Panameras and the guy threw me the keys to a jet black 4s with chalk interior and 21 inch wheels. It was sitting next to a white one. I usually don’t like black cars but side by side the black in my opinion looked much better then the white.

He said take it for as long as you want. So I did like a 30 mile test drive. Gave me a great feel for the car. I come back and now he has a chalk exterior, black interior, black 21 inch wheels hybrid. The chalk exterior is even better then black. Tells me the same thing. Take it for as long as you want. So I do another 30 miles in the hybrid, which I really liked even thoigh heavier.

So now I have ruled out white and going with either volcano grey, black interior or black on black or chalk exterior, black interior. All 3 cars have about same msrp, except black. The volcano is msrp 117,670 and has premium package plus and assistance package as major options. The chalk is msrp 118500, premium package plus, no assistance package, The difference in price is $3k for chalk paint, another $1k in additional paint upgrades, like door handles etc, and these 21 inch wheels are another 2k. So those options sort of replace assistance package.

So basically if I want assistance package have to go volcano grey with the non black wheels.

Do u guys think the assistance package is a must have option. I had adaptive criuise on an Audi I had. I did use it, but not a ton,

Leaning towards chalk exterior as never saw it in person and thought car looked great in it with black wheels

So spread your net further and find a car that doesn’t have any compromises. Every dealer will be super nice if your spending that kind of money

As to the assistance package that depends on on where and what conditions you typically drive in. You have already said you didn't use the adaptive cruise very often in your prior car. The lane keep assist may not be all that useful if you are an attentive driver. That said, when you are first learning the car you may find yourself distracted with trying to operate the infotainment screen while driving and the LKA might prove very valuable in that situation. I regularly drive at night on unlit roads. The night vision is very appealing to me. On more than one occasion while driving a dark back road in the rain I have come upon a pedestrian wearing a long black rain coat. They are nearly impossible to see until they are closer than I would like.
You didn't mention what wheels are on the grey car, 19's, 20's? The 21's look great but you should consider the road condition you typically drive on. Potholes on smooth?

So it's down to color vs the assistance pkg. Only you can make that call depending on your taste and your use of the features. Generally Porsche options are well sorted and work well. If they are of use to you you'll probably be happy with the way they function. The Chalk is a "special" color and looks nice and unusual. The grey is nice also. For me, the night vision would be the deciding factor. You have to make your own call. Regardless you'll have a fantastic car.

Edit: Car 1 is still a great spec at a really good price. It's hard to ignore.
