Dash Analog Clock vs Compass
Hey guys,
I'm configuring a new P4 online. It does not put a compass or clock on the dashboard in the pictures. Only adding the sport chrono package adds the SC clock and I am not getting that feature.
- Does anyone know if a dash compass or analog clock comes as standard equipment?
- Actually, although I absolutely love the interior otherwise, I'd rather have a flat grill there and no compass or clock. Is that possible?
Thanks,
Cap

The display screen on the far right side of the dashboard can be set up to display an analog clock. You use the menus on the PCM to select the feature you want. Sorry, I do not remember if a compass is one of the choices.
I do not have sport chrono and my car came with a great analog clock on the center of the dash where the SC timer would otherwise appear. You can place a cool compass on the configurable dash instruments, I have mine on the right and it also reports altitude. I have an digital clock to the right side of the dash and on the home page of the PCM . The displays offer a large number of choices and are highly configurable.
Thanks fgv1it and dadc4s for the excellent info! Looking forward to playing around with the digital displays for adding compass, clock, etc. I still can't figure out the physical component that sits on top of the dash. Dadc4s got an analog clock on his car. I've looked at pictures of interiors of new 2018 cars at dealers and some have a compass and some have an analog clock in that spot. Does not seem to be model dependent. In the configurator it doesn't show anything there (w/o sport chrono option which I'm not getting). If anyone knows magic Porsche rule and whether there is a way to not get either, I'd be most appreciative.
