Sport Design Package
Ordering a Panamera and thinking about getting sport design package or sport design side fenders. Exterior silver color so I’m trying to minimize black plastic contrast on the car. Any input on durability or other issues? Seems like the front sport design bumper is significantly lower than standard front bumper and rear painted lower fascia would be exposed to a lot of damage from rocks kicked up from tires? Any idea how much is costs to replace black plastic under front fender on standard bumper if I scuff a curb? Thanks in advance.

I have a 4S with sport design side skirt. It's a must. Looks cheap, unfinished and high off the ground without it. You won't have issues scratching or kicking it if you are careful. I didn't feel the need to order the sport design front and rear bumper...

Nice spec! This is very helpful. I didn’t realize there are different “standard” front fascia on the 4s and Turbo models. I like how you got rid of the orange reflector in the bumper

Hey would you please elaborate how you did get rid of the orange reflector on the front bumper? Fbx is right it looks really good like that and I’d love to do the same.

I had Tag Motorsports in San Diego paint the reflectors. It's always the first thing I do when I get a new car. Don't know why only the American specs have it. Much cleaner with the body color.

Has anyone had issues with rock chips on rear fender with sport design package? There aren’t any mud flaps - looks like the rear wheels would kick up rocks right into the paint.
is the sport design front fender lip lower than standard lip?

No, not at all. 12k miles in, we have two, and no damage on either.
If I go do a newly laid road, where they have put a tonne of loose stones on, I slow down etc. Even then you can hear them being flicked up (UK drivers will know exactly what I mean) , there's been no damage/chips.
The sport design package makes the car look so much better.

Yeah, I got the full SportDesign package and I think it looks a lot better than without.
Like all P cars with the SD option, the front lip will either stick out or lower than a standard front end. I have the option on both my 991 and my PST, but the one thing I CAN do with my Panny that I can't do with the 991 is that I can lift the front end. If you have PASM, you can program the diamond button on the steering wheel, so that it'll lift the car if you encounter a steep-ish driveway. Comes in handy and I have yet to scrape under the front lip.
