Service quandary
I note on both UK and USA Porsche main dealer web sites that the recommend intermediate service / oil changes is at 10,000 intervals.
I purchased my car with 6,400 on it just over a year ago. The Main dealer serviced it just prior to collect. The car has now covered 16,000 miles yet the computer is saying it’s next oil change / intermediate Service is not due for another 10,400 miles or 362 days. It’s next full service is due in 24,000 miles or 452 days time!
So Porsche dealers are saying every 10k miles and Porsche themselves are confident with double that.
Interested to hear what you guys doing about routine service intervals?

I change my oil every 10k, Porche recommended interval. I dont drive my car hard at all most of the time (mostly highway driving).
Use Castrol syntec Edge 5W40. Always make sure oil is to max (check every few days).
PCM says more time to oil change because likely servicer did not reset the oil change interval.
If you know you covered miles, and service interval does not prompt, do change anyway. Then make sure to reset the service reminder.

That is correct, You should buy diags tool to DIY. Alternative, go to dealer, hook up to PIWIS2, pay them few hundred bucks.
Your choice. IMO, you should not own a car without being able to do some small things on your own. Keeps you invested in the car, and lets you be proactive, vs retroactive.
There were extensive studies done by owners of cayennes on other forums. Changing oil at different intervals, sending for analysis. At 10k, there was zero evidence of detrimental effect of change at 10k. 5W40 Castrol Edge full synthetic.
I have also done this and yes, 10k is my interval. You have to make your own decision for how your own car will be serviced.
Oil from today is a whole different story from oil 20 years ago, and even from 10 years ago.
