Default Anyone using the RENNSTAND?

Looking at picking a couple up, seems real convenient. (https://safejacks.com/collections/re...ck-single-unit)

if you are using them, which block are you using? They daon't have one that claims used with Panamera.

I suspect the Macan block would work, but want to be sure before ordering.

Interesting jack stand concept. The Macan/Cayenne jack pad may been too long at 2.75"x1". If you measure the jack pad receiver on the Panamera, it is only 2"x1". The BMW pad is a better fit. You will also need to verify ground clearance of your car versus the jack stand (2.1") + pad adapter (1") + low profile floor jack (??). My GTS (10mm lower than others models) has a ground clearance of ~6.5" in the high position (air suspension) and a low profile floor jack at 3.5", it would be tight to insufficient clearance.

thanks dudecs, excellent points

finally checked - I heve a bout 6.75" in high mode to the jack pads and my pad is ~2 1/2" wide.

so it looks like you're right the BMW pad would be the way to go.

with a low profile jack it should just squeeze in there

I just bought a pair of these stands and am happy with them. I used them in the rear of my 997 and then stuck a regular jack under each front. This way I had the car on all four jack points.

Two advantages to these over fixed height jack stands are:
  1. Works for other cars (it comes with a universal pinchweld plate and additional that are make-specific can be bought) and they go quite high (16.5")
  2. For anything that requires the vehicle to be level, the height can be adjusted
Item #2 above was important for me when I was doing a gear oil change as the floor in my garage is pitched (most are). The height adjustment allowed me to tweak the height of the rear easily so the car was level.

997 level despite pitched garage floor

Left side of the rennstand pushes against the plastic flap in front of the rear wheel. This did not bother me and did not damage the flap, but it is something of note.

Also of note: they offer a 10% discount for PCA and rennlist members, call them for the code as I'm unsure if the one they gave me works 24/7 or if it was a one-use code
