Default A pillar come loose

The trim A-pillar on the front edge of the front door on the driver's and passanger side, has come loose at the top and it is sticking out . I cannot see that anything is broken, and am not sure how it was attached, I try to reattach it but it keep coming off. Any advice?

I have the same issue, can anyone suggest what has come loose? I've seen a drawing of how to remove https://www.insanegarage.com/diy-rom...amera/#apillar but without knowing what has come loose I'm reluctant to pull it off.

Can't really see what would make the edge lift if the center is solid...

OK, so I found this that shows a small clip on the top right. I assume this clip has been broken and that is the reason it sags. I'm guessing from someone trying to run a wire up it at some point.

I had the same situation on a late model Touareg. Must be a VAG thing, in terms of the A-pillar trim interface with the headliner and the fasteners used. Glad you found the solution.
