I have a 2018 Turbo S E-Hybrid, pulling the above mentioned fuses still didn't allow Homelink programming.

I am able to program my rolling code Liftmaster remote (with and without the fuses installed), but not the low tech gate remote. Homelink doesn't recognize the remote -- but it works on my wife's MY17 911. So weird. The dealer claimed they were able to successfully program both, the only thing they did was erase my garage door.

Has anyone found other approaches for these difficult to program situations?

So I have written before that removing the fuses didn't work on my car. Finally the Dealer decided to replace the Homelink module in the car and then everything worked perfectly and there was no need to remove the fuses at all. Obviously the Homelink module in my car was defective. Interestingly the Dealer obtained the necessary replacement in one day.

Fuse pulling did nothing for me as well (2018 4S). The dealer has been rumbling about replacing the hardware, so that seems to be the next step

1) Do both of you have Lane Change Assist?
2) Did both of you fail with an on-screen failure message from PCM during your first step? (as opposed to success there, but failure thereafter?)

wvalters
3) Which brand, year, and model Garage Opener main unit do you have?

It would be helpful to have this info from everyone reporting on results, as this will help determine likelihood of success for others. Also, answers can be useful for additional troubleshooting.

Default one more perfect car

I bought my 2018 panamera 4 this June, with Lane Assist function.

Tried many times to sysn. the door opener but failed. I searched youtube, Porsche website, home link website, watched more than ten relative videos, but none of them worked, till I found this thread.

Only took my about 10 mins to finish the whole process, move back the seat, lift the covers, remove the fuses, press opener button and bingo, the led turned green, SO PREETY, after so many failures.

THANKS A LOT TO ALL OF YOU, MY CAR IS PERFECT NOW.

One small advice, if u feel hard to remove the little long pink thing above fuses, just use a small screw driver, insert under and twist a little bit tenderly.

Default Panamera 2018 garage door fixed

Hi guys, thanks so much for this thread.
I was trying to get the garage door setup for weeks.

Panamera 2018 4S
I do have the la e assist
There was no way to sync my remote with the car.
Removing the two fuses indicated above, the sync was done successfully at the first try.
Has the fuses back, and everything is working perfectly.

If you have a non rolling code gate type remote, try also pressing and re-pressing ("cycle") your handheld transmitter every two seconds until the frequency signal has been learned. My rolling code transmitter only needed to be pressed and held once. The above worked for my 2018 Panamera 4S with lane change assist. Thanks to all posters.

I have a 2018 Panamera Turbo (although it's a late 2018 build date and has a WKD 971 91 21 19 code so it's really a 2019 car). It has Lane Change Assist and Lane Keep Assist.

When I first tried to program the HomeLink it didn't work. I found that holding the garage door and gate openers nearer to the windshield than is shown in the Porsche instructions worked perfectly. In other words, I'd suggest moving the OEM remote around while holding down its button(s).

New 4S owner. A big "Thank You" to MrOhnoez.

Pulling the fuses worked like magic!

Thanks again.

Is your 4S from 2018 or 2020? I can't locate these fuses on a 2020.

On a 2020 Panamera? This is the fuse box in the passenger footwell https://imgur.com/a/PrEZ7KZ

Can you please let me know which one I need to remove?

oyinko Since there are only 2, 5 amp fuses in your car I would try those first. Dont start the car.
