How do you identify Sports Exhaust on a 971
Looking at used 2017 Panameras and having trouble identifying when cars have the PSE. Non-Porsche dealers aren’t as familiar with the cars and don’t always do a good job of identifying options, and in some cases, may have no idea what options it has. On the configurator, there doesn’t seem to be much visual difference between the 4s standard tailpipes and the PSE tailpipes. On the older Panny’s, there was the tell-tale PSE button on the center console, but the 971 doesn’t seem to have that. (How do you activate it?).

Sport Tailpipes are slightly thicker than the stock pipes on the 4S. Sport pipes are a decent indicator but not a guarantee the car is equipped w PSE. PSE is activated through the vehicle settings on the center screen. To be sure it’s there you probably need the key. Also any Porsche dealer can run the VIN and tell you the exact equipment on the vehicle if need be.

thanks! Sure seems like it would have made more sense to have a dedicated button for the PSE on the center console like the 970 gen - silly to have it on the center screen IMO.
