My personal experience with Hennessey is that they will price match if you're reasonable enough. Porsche OEM batteries are very expensive, if you use an aftermarket battery they'll install it for you as long as you pay their labor rate which could only be 50 bucks difference. They do have to remove the front seat to replace the battery so the labor part is justified because of how annoying porsche has made it.

I've had a lot of luck at rocco's european garage for maintenance items in roswell. They're a lot closer than Chattanooga that's for sure!

thanks for replay DrWoa
Porsche Hennessy and Porsche Chattanooga are both Porsche dealer, what I don't anderstand difference in the battery price is 400$ . my battery is in the trunk and installation and computer reset is 160$ .
if you add 560+160 vs 429 that is ripoff

You're right cerbomark the battery is in the trunk. My friend had his battery replaced and he was complaining to me it was under the front seat, I assumed it was his panamera but it was his mercedes. Whoops.

Yeah 400 dollars more without any details about the battery does sound like a ripoff.

Seems like you could run some small jumpers to batt terminals from a 12 v source, remove the terminals, remove the batt, replace batt, hook up terminals, then remove jumpers and be good to go. I don’t think the car would know you changed batts.

The dealership told me when you put a new battery in a porche, they need to reset the computer and tell the car that there is a new battery inside. This is because the car will think the old battery is still inside and will continue to charge the battery as if the old one was still inside. If the car computer isn't reset then the car will overcharge the new battery which will make the new battery go bad faster.

Yeah, I doubt the car is smart enough to realize you changed batteries, if it never see a zero voltage. When I have to change I will do myself, and let you know the results. Regards.

Changed my own battery with no issues, used a 9vbattery to hold the computer while doing the change without problems. That was 3 years ago so there has been plenty of time for problems. Mine was in the trunk and the only caution is to not short the connections. Bought the battery from an outfit called Batteries and Bulbs.
