Making Fun of For Sale Ads
I understand and agree that sellers, however misguided, should be free to offer their wares for sale without their postings becoming petty manhood measuring contests. However...one of my guilty pleasures was reading the commentary from the peanut gallery in the for sale ads. So, the rules say we can't make comments in the member's for sale thread, but can we make fun of them here?
For example, I'm sure the following is a perfectly nice car, and not even an outlandish ad, but it is ripe for snide commentary. Someone asked why he was selling it, my natural response was "The blindness was only temporary"

I purchased this car less than four months ago and added a ‘black pack,’ replacing all the chrome trim with gloss black. This included emblems, rear nameplate, M Performance side vents, and M Performance front grilles. The side and rear reflectors have been color-matched. I also added the Dinan free flow exhaust with black tips for a slightly more aggressive exhaust note without it being too loud (the OE exhaust is included in the sale). The car has three coats of Cquartz ceramic coating and the front windows were tinted to match the rears. The price of all the upgrades and labor was approx. $4000.
This car is like new inside and out and looks stunning in person.

I've seen way uglier cars. The $116k MSRP is surprising and you could do better for that money, of course, but it's not that bad.

Why spend $4K in four months and then try to dump it?

Forget the depreciation over the first three years...think about the depreciation over the four months the guy has owned it.
Then add in the $4k he put into it after he bought it.
Just wow.

I love chuckling at the same 5 or so that have the standard "great car it should sell fast" with zero intention of buying or even knowing or caring the asking price is a joke. It's no wonder they have like 5000 posts. Zero value added to any for sale thread.

They are no bigger inside than a five series, it can't go offroad and it can't manage cities very well. It's the worst of three cars.
