All the best...
6 911's and a GT350R - you've got great taste, never bored. Post photos of the collection when you get a chance.

I think we are all losing sight of how much 'sound' - natural sound - plays into our enjoyment of these kinds of cars.

The Viper's V10 sounds like ***. There, I said it. We all know it, we just don't say it often enough. How Dodge can make such an incredible machine as the ACR, and yet somehow, someway that engine still doesn't sound as good as a run 'o the mill $500 small block Chevy is anyone's guess...

But then again, you can't argue with what the ACR can do.

The V10 in a Huracan or R8 sounds like a symphony in comparison. Is it the 4 valves per cylinder? I don't know.

*** Flame Suit on ***

The way these American car are ringing up the numbers in think I would be more content with a low mileage used 991.1 carrera s for roughly the same figure. Much more car for the money and an overall better performer when handling, feel and ergonomics are all factored in.
Good point.

Yeah, I was kind of hoping Ford would would begin to tease a GT500 just to wet our appetites, and help relieve the pressure for those of us who will never get the chance of buying a GT350R.

You sound pretty confident that the LT4 will survive track duty in the Camaro more so than it is currently in the ZO6...

I'm just wondering how long it's going to take before I can go to a local ford dealer and order a gt350r for msrp? Hopefully before they discontinue the voodoo engine.

IHave been offered GT350s at MSRP. Not interested anymore. With a 4 to 5 year production run planned the ADMs won't last forever. The car was just launched in 2016 and it's still 1st Q 2016.

Same nonsense with every other "gotta have it car" in the past.

Where & when did you hear or see that there will be a 4-5 year GT350 production run planned? Is this official?

BTW, the car was launched in 2015.

If you want to call launching 100 cars an official launch well then I guess so.

I can't recall specifically where I read about the four-year production run but I did read it. You can also check out track Mustangs online. A lot of knowledgeable guys regarding the car on that formum.

I doubt Ford would've spent as much money and time and effort in developing the flat plane crank for a two-year production run only

In regards to ACR noises- I usually can't hear the engine over the screams of the passengers...haha.

The 350/350R sounds unreal. But- lets face it no car in this conversation is really perfect- viper is too hard on tires, doesn't sound great. GT4 understeers a bit, doesn't have the super HP, 350 is a little heavy or hard to obtain without ADM.

They are all REALLY good. And different. And they all require real driving skill to get the max.

Great post!

So...what we are all really hoping for is for Porsche to make a Cayman GT4 RS with all the special parts from the future Limited Edition GT3 RS: 4.4L 550hp, PDK-R, RWS, etc., etc...

Conjecture, in regards to production years. I have been on TMO (previously BMO) for many years.... I'm up to speed with news and rumors. Anyways, in short all that is pure speculation so we'll leave it at that. Maybe it's true, maybe it won't be.... we'll all see eventually. Yes... and it's actually 137 units for 2015. It's in the books. I have #134.

991RS with screaming flat crank V8 making 650hp. PDK, 4 seats so we can take the kids to school and bare interior. Oh, and weighing 2800pounds.

Where do I sign? 😉😉
