I don't know about size but it supposed to weigh about the same as my E46 M3,around 3600Lbs. That's brilliant IMO with about 450HP...

The cross section of the head looks identical in design to the N55..but the bottom end design is clearly more robust.

hard to believe they can extract 430 bhp out of a 3 litre without lag...something exacerbated if you pick the manual option, which i would. without 8 speeds to keep the engine on the boil, testers have noticed lag on both the new m5 and the m135 when equipped with a 6 speed. An M car without throttle response is no M car at all, in my opinion.

I've been planning on getting an M4 for awhile now to park next to my Boxster Spyder, but options like the new stang are sure making me wonder.

Somewhat surprising to see that, but it means BMW will continue to make real manual transmissions for some time.

They are likely fairly small turbos that are responsive. The 335i N54 isnt bad, even with upgraded turbos.

The great thing about the M4 is the intercooler is located up top rather than in front, and that will help reduce lag significantly vs a front mount air to air intercooler.
