The 1980s were the Porsche decade I think more than any other.
They had the 911, the 944, and the 928 all in the line. With threee different cars and three different motors.
Yeah I know what happened before and after. We all do. But Porsche could put all three cars on that list.
Of course the Corvette should be there. The early 1980s Vettes with the swoopy fender curves and that are beautiful cars from that era. There is a lot of square box crap.
I dont know if the Mustang was all of that. I was coming from a 1970 351 Mach One and I didnt think too much of the Fox cars really.
After having a 260Z I didnt care so much for the 300 either. I went to possibly buy one , but they wanted a $5K price addition for one. I skipped that.
When I think what do I want in my garage I always think of the 1980s with the 1986 951 and either a 3.2 Carrera or a 930 mate. It just seems right.
If I had something else, not new, then the 1980 - 81 Vette would be next.
