Default Non Porsche Marque Build Thread

I like to modify my cars...interior, exterior, audio/video, and performance. It's not for everyone and my taste might not be to your liking...but at least you can see what can be done. I'm working on my 1997 993tt build now. Enjoy...just click on the pic and the slideshow will start.

2004 E55 (sold)...my first ever build. It took 7 months...the engine performance was close to 700hp/700 ft-lb @ the crank. I was sad to see it go...but it gave way to the GTR. At the time it sold it had 36K miles...

2006 SL65...second build. It took 4 months or so...mainly exterior and interior. It now has ADV 5.1's rather than the CCW's. It is Kleeman ECU/TCU modified...about 640hp/800 ft-lb @ the crank. It now has 24k miles...

2011 Chevrolet Suburban...third build. It took about 3.5 months...just interior and exterior with the addition of a big brake kit from Brembo...no sense in having 22"s and not being able to stop. It currently has 18k miles...

2012 Nissan GTR...fourth build. Ongoing...I got it May 2011...it went in June 1, 2011 for the build. I got it back mid Jan 2012 after full interior/exterior modifications...really no one piece of the car was untouched. It went to Switzer Performance for a R1Kx build (full engine rebuild, tranny rebuild, rear axle upgrade, and ECU tune - 4 maps on 93 and 4 maps on C16) Feb 2012 and I should get it back end of May or early June...2012... It should hopefully break into the 8's and ET above 165mph. At Switzer hand off...it had 1300 miles.

1997 Porsche 993tt...just an interior refresh with new supple leather with deviated silver stitching, new carpet, new steering wheel, rear seat delete, JL Audio/Kenwood stereo upgrade. Exterior modificaitons really simple...just a front Turbo S front spoiler lip, bumperette delete, clear lenses, and Xpel Ultimate film on the whole car. I got it with 30k miles...that was 600miles ago.

Here is how the 993tt looks when I got it...

Not my style, but I do appreciate the effort and passion! Best of luck with them.

And please post some pics here. I hate clicking outside links. : )

Very nice collection and great pictures!! I'm not scared of links, so I actually looked at the pictures.

Kleemann is a good company, but may I ask why you went with them rather than RENNtech on the SL? They have quite a bit of experience with the M275. Almost to the point of Brabus.

Anyway, my hat is off to you. It's nice to see somebody else on this forum who knows how to do cars right.

Cheers!

A built benz is on my bucket list, and that SL65 is dreamy. Thanks for sharing.
