Hmmm, not on ours. The third/rear facing seats fold into what would otherwise be the spare tire well. On the E55 wagons, there was the option of the spare tire or the third row seats, but not both. When we bought ours (12/05), there were only 27 in the country, so if you wanted one, you basically took what was available.

I can post pics if you'd like.

Yum yum. Me likes Lot. Wife likes it too. I just hate how few were made... Makes it harder to find a reasonably priced used one.

Awesome car- congratulations! I have an '06 E55 sedan as my daily driver and really enjoy it. The wagon is a rare find - hardly ever see them come on the market and they command a nice premium.

I've been considering the Eurocharged stage I - although I'm not sure I really need / would use any more HP out of the beast. If you get that post the results.

I'm thinking of the W210 generation... Different chassis.

+1000. They really are fabulous cars. Big cargo area, comfortable interior for a long trip, and they still have the bank-vault feeling that M-B's are (were...) known for.

Oh, and I kicked Michael Jordan's *** in a drag race. True story.

Very nice ... That's a rare bird, I've owned a E55 sedan and a ML55 love the power plant... ECU flash and Kleeman exhaust made a huge impact... Enjoy

I have an older model, dealer wants $1200 to fix the wiper. The motor cost < $100, and failure was due to wiper transmission being dry.

Yes, brakes are big $$$!.

Pray that your power steering rack doesn't fail. Ours failed when the car was about 6 months old. My wife got stuck in a parking garage and had to have it taken out on a flatbed. Turns out the rack in the E55 wagon is specific to the E55 wagon!! According to my dealer, they could not swap out a rack from another E-Class wagon.

A month later, one finally came in from Germany. It all happened under warranty, but it was still a pain in the ***.

Nice! The wife and I have an '06 e350 wagon and our jump seats are practically useless because the kids that fit back there comfortably have to sit in booster seats (for the most part, anyway). Also, she's made it clear (and I agree with her to a degree) that no children that we are close enough to to have in our car will ever ride back there for fear of some non-attentive driver running into the back of us.

Spend that money on something to make that beauty faster!
