Here's one for all my fellow track junkies:
I was reading a car mag today while I got my car detailed and started salivating when reading about this car, the Riley TDC (Track Day Car). It sounds like a reasonable competitor to a Cup. Faster? Not sure, I'll have to dig up the specs of the Cup, but I'm guessing it is, as they claim it's faster than their Daytona Prototypes on some tracks. More reliable? TBD. More enjoyable? Yes - it has air conditioning!![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I was at MMC a month and a half ago when some members were testing the car. Fast? Oh yeah! There was a Grand Am Cup there that day and the same driver was posting significantly quicker times in the Riley.
The Riley guys were there working as the crew, really nice bunch of guys.

Pretty awesome looking. Looks like they did their homework and didn't Lego piece it together. Running costs would probably be cheaper than a cup.
Although, I think that most amateur's are fortunate of the "limited" speed with which street to track cars have. With 500HP and only 2300lb one can easily move into a realm where the car and speed far exceeds ones abilities.
As most of those have read, a GT3 RS can be all the more capable when you put it into the hands of a professional. That should be an indication that moving up to a race car isn't the right choice just because its faster.
