They actually came out in 2004 but skipped MY 2008, if it matters.

Little stuff one might say, but overall it was not built to the standards of a car going for that price.
That seems to be a thing of the past. Mine has been perfect since day one, as is the one owned by my friend (his second). I too sold and E55, which was great, but a single significant repair would cover a year of lease payments for the Cadillac.
I'm lucky enough to also have an 08 CLK63 Black Series for comparison. The Cadillac is much more comfortable, and usable. While acceleration numbers are similar, the Black feels faster, and has better steering.
The new V cannot be driven on the track without getting a "differential overheating" warning. The diff cooler, standard in Europe, is not available here. Adding one voids the warranty, tho all the cars used for the track demos are equipped with the cooler. That's my only gripe. And, it could use a larger gas tank. But, it is a huge value. The on-track handling is actually very good, and even tho the warning comes on, it does not go into limp mode. AS

I guess Cadillac should be flattered, Acura's new rides have the same angular look now... or... did GM STEAL that too?

Well let's see, the current styling direction for Cadillac was introduced in 2002 with the 2003 CTS and Acuras were still shaped like jellybeans then so no, GM did not "steal this".

kind of cool...
this wagon hauls ***

I was out riding this weekend and one passed me.
It sounded FABULOUS, just like a late 60's L88 car.
PING!

but $75K!

No thanks

I sat in one last month at an auto show, surprisingly cheesy inside, but my impression might change if i was driving it!
