F8, then Huracan, then 296. @pitt911 may be someone good to ask as well as he's owned a 296 and Huracan, I think. Not sure on the F8, but I think a 488.
I drove a 296 and also an R8 V10+, which is similar to a Huracan.
296 is amazing. Plenty of power. I'm not as much of a fan of the looks.
Huracan is great. The R8 V10+ I drove sounded great. Reliable. But too easy to drive. It felt too similar to an Audi to me. Not as sporty and engaging as I wanted.
F8 to me is great. Great looks. Sounds great with an exhaust. Have the Ferrari community and club which is amazing.
296 for me. Just drove one and good lord I was blown away. If it doesn't have the asseto fiorano package and weird paint scheme it actually looks great. Sound, handling, driving feel and overall power were just another level then the rest of these. I would compare handling to the GT3, I know that is blasphemy on this forum, but for me it was. I wouldn't trade in my GTS manual trans 911 for it, cause I have to have a manual and the way mine is set up is kind of perfection. The 296 I am seriously considering. My fear is that it is a one trick pony for me. Thrill drive when I get a chance to take it on a fun road. Those wont happen but maybe on weekends at best. Otherwise I hate the attention that exotics have and will avoid taking it to places where people will see me park it and such. Thats another reason why it wont replace my 911.
The speed was so crazy on my test drive that I was easily over 115 any time I got on it. I am not that irresponsible on public roads, but this car gets there so quick I was shocked. Obviously there was no traffic around me when I got on it.
I have no interest in hurucans. The F8 is amazing as well.
I hope to get the F8 one day if prices fall where 488 is today.
It’s the last of the V8 non-hybrid mid-engine Ferraris and to me looks so much better than 296. Interior still has buttons and analog gauge for RPM.
My issue with Huracan is it’s everywhere and now has a certain reputation with ppl that like to modify them. Ferrari owners tend to keep them stock which is my preference.
I drove an F8 and Huracan STO. Both very mediocre compared to my GT3RS and I was expecting more due to the "hype." Have 0 desire for either one and rather own my GT3RS for actual real performance driving. Now I haven't driven a 296 but have heard it blows away the F8 and Huracan in terms of feel/driving experience.

The F8 is more for the styling and sound.
I don’t expect it to be as raw or capable as my GT3RS.
I just picked up a 296 GTB. It's been said before, but it's true... it's on a different level. I personally love the looks, it sounds great, it's got incredible grip, and the power is intoxicating. The fact that I got a good deal on it sealed the deal. Do yourself a favor and take one for a drive.

I used to say the same as you about the F8. I test drove many cars and the 296 was more special then all of them. I ended up getting one. The shorter wheel base, no turbo lag (makes it feel NA), revs to 8500rpm, handles so crazy sharp, and overall it makes for a super exciting drive. Mine is in the grey Grigio scuro over a little bit of red and black and carbon interior. I am love the looks of it now, but before I didn't. Anyway, get what you love but highly suggest you at least do a proper test drive of it.
I believe its the most misunderstood Ferrari till you drive it.

Congrats on that car and to go along with your touring, that is so sweet. Where in SoCal are you?
Sweet. I have been before, gorgeous place. Just far drive from freeway and everywhere else. We have a group that does amazing drives. We are in San Diego and then go around between here and Palm Springs.

Shocked to hear the STO was only mediocre, I assumed it was bonkers. Can you elaborate. Overall I dont' care for much of lambo products, but the performante hurucan was pretty good and thought STO would be bat **** crazy
STO is bonkers compared to a GT3 but i think if you are talking about "actual real performance driving" you would definitely notice the superior aero on the RS
I'm about to jump from a 992.1 GTS to 296GTB. Both have buckets. Both are metallic black. It Just feels right. The GTB interior feels more cramped than the 992. At 6'0 I think I'm at the limit for fitting in it. I've had a Porsche for over a decade. it's time to try something different. It also appears I'm catching GTB prices on the way down. Hoping I can negotiate a good trade. Big updates to follow this week!
