Default 981 GT4 or McLaren 650s?

Hey all,

I've owned Porsches for the last 25 years and think there is no better car that offers the mix of good reliability and great performance and a little panache. That said, I have a 981 GT4 that's been a ton of fun but am thinking of trying something else. The McLaren 650s has great performance numbers and the values aren't too far off what I could sell my GT4 for. Anyone have experience with both? I don't think the McLaren would be a long term car for me, maybe 2-3 years. Thoughts?

How close is a McLaren Dealer to me ???

The only thing I Personally would would be concerned about would be Service and Reliability.

yup, those are my main concerns but with a proper ppi, hoping to mitigate. Have a decent indy not too far away. Thanks Terry.

No direct experience with the 650s. I have done what you are considering though and am extremely happy for the change. I've been in Porsche's for a long long time (and still own my late wife's Boxster) and enjoyed all of it. But like you I was looking for a change. I went in the English direction but not McLaren - I went to Aston Martin. I'm loving the new dynamics of it all.

Enjoy!

Second the Aston, unfortunately here in Hawaii the only Porsche competitors are Maserati, Bentley, and Ferrari.
