Of course folks are gonna dump on Lexus in a Porsche forum, and true, a Lexus is certainly not a Porsche. But I think the brand deserves at least a look, if build quality, comfort and yes, style is what you're after, in a vehicle that will run for a LONG time without costing you $$. I recently dumped my Benz CLS450 because I was tired of getting rides back to the service department from a flatbed. I replaced it with an IS 350 F Sport and don't feel like I've given up one iota of quality, comfort or driving performance. True, very different cars, but the Benz is $30k more expensive. For me, Mercedes is no mas. And that said, a 991.2 Targa remains my aspirational vehicle...YMMV..
I picked up a White IS500 last year and never realized how much I liked Lexus quality.
new Lexus LC in 2 weeks,,,,Im tired of leaving my car (no loaner) for 2 weeks and the water pump craps out every 15K miles,,im on 3rd one in 50K...Im tired of whipping a dead horse..

i agree about the 2UR. i had a 17 rcf but then moved to a 21 rcf fuji speedway edition (1 of 60 in US). i've driven this thing 800 miles from norcal to arizona, tracked it the next day and drove it home. didn't even break a sweat. throw an aftermarket exhaust on and wow. keeper for sure and sibling to my tts and gt3t (in production).
the 2UR cars don't compare to porsche performance obviously. they were tracking for an lcf (twin turbo v8) right before covid but then cancelled that.

there will always be haters, they're everywhere...this is the 'other marque' section so it's appropriate. what color did you go with?
yes having a good time....has 4 modes, economy, comfort, sport, sport+..playing with all of them...havent tried manual paddle shifters,,thats next....just got new wheels..

oh, pls try sport+ and paddles and take it to redline and/or let it bounce off the limiter. joy to the ears.
